Every Intovention piece is designed to be carried, used, and appreciated every day. Real leather is not a material that stays still. It softens, darkens, bends, and develops character as it follows your routine.
With simple care, your wallet or card holder can stay useful, handsome, and personal for years.
What to expect from real leather
Small changes in colour, texture, and shape are part of what makes leather special. A wallet kept in your pocket, held in your hand, or carried on your travels will slowly build its own natural finish.
Natural grain, tonal variation, small marks, softening, and patina are normal features of genuine leather. They are part of the material, not faults.
Daily care
- Keep leather away from excessive moisture and prolonged direct sunlight.
- Do not dry leather with a heater, hairdryer, radiator, or direct flame.
- Wipe gently with a soft, clean cloth after use.
- Store away from sharp objects that may mark the surface.
- Avoid perfumes, alcohol gels, oils, inks, and harsh cleaning products.
Avoid overfilling
Your wallet or card holder is designed for everyday carry, but leather and stitching can be strained if it is overloaded. Avoid forcing extra cards into slots or packing the note compartment too tightly.
Overfilling can stretch card slots, distort the shape, and place unnecessary pressure on the stitching.
Conditioning leather
For natural leather finishes, a light conditioning treatment before regular use may help protect the surface from early marks and staining. Use only a suitable leather conditioner and always test it on a hidden area first, as each leather can respond differently.
Use conditioner sparingly. Too much product can darken, soften, or mark the leather.
If leather gets wet
If your leather item gets wet, gently blot away excess moisture with a clean cloth and let it dry naturally at room temperature. Do not rub aggressively and do not use direct heat.
Storage
When not in use, store your Intovention piece in a cool, dry place. If you still have the original packaging or dust bag, use it to reduce dust and surface marks.
