How It’s Made

Every Intovention piece begins with a simple question: how will this feel when it is used every day? The answer shapes the leather choice, pocket layout, stitching, edge finish, and final inspection.

Our making process

Design the carry

Each design starts with use: how many cards it should hold, whether folded notes matter, how slim it should feel, and where stress points will sit.

Select the leather

We choose full-grain leather for strength, touch, colour depth, and the way it develops character rather than looking disposable.

Cut and prepare

Panels are cut, pockets are aligned, and the structure is prepared so the finished wallet or card holder holds its shape without unnecessary bulk.

Stitch by hand

Waxed thread reinforces the edges and gives each piece the visible rhythm of handmade work. The stitching is both structural and decorative.

Burnish and check

Every side and corner is burnished smooth before the piece is checked for stitching, pocket feel, colour, shape, and final finish.

Why the details matter

Small leather goods live a hard life. They are opened, closed, gripped, pocketed, placed on counters, and carried through every season. Clean pocket spacing, careful stitching, and properly burnished edges help the piece keep its shape and feel better in the hand.

Because the leather is natural, no two pieces are completely identical. Grain, tone, and patina will change with use. That is part of why we choose real leather: it becomes more personal over time.
